Overview
Nuptco ("we", "us", "our") operates a software-as-a-service platform that helps wedding planners manage guest lists and RSVP collection. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Who this policy covers.It applies to three groups: (1) wedding planners who subscribe to Nuptco ("Planners"), (2) couples whose weddings are managed through Nuptco ("Couples"), and (3) wedding guests who submit RSVPs via Nuptco ("Guests").
Information we collect
From Planners (account holders):
- Name and email address (via Clerk authentication)
- Company or agency name
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; Nuptco never stores full card numbers
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration
- Error and diagnostic data (via Sentry) to help us fix bugs
From Couples (added by their planner):
- First and last name
- Wedding details: venue, date, event structure
From Guests (via RSVP form):
- Name (pre-filled from planner's guest list)
- RSVP response (attending / not attending)
- Meal preference and dietary restrictions
- Email address (if provided for confirmation)
How we use your information
We use the data we collect strictly to provide the Nuptco service:
- Authenticate planners and manage their accounts
- Store and display wedding guest lists and RSVP statuses
- Send RSVP invitation and reminder emails to guests on the planner's behalf
- Process billing and subscription management via Stripe
- Generate exports (caterer lists, seating sheets) for planners
- Monitor service health and debug errors
We do not sell your data. We do not use guest RSVP data for advertising or share it with third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
Third-party service providers
We work with the following sub-processors to operate the service. Each has their own privacy policy and data processing agreements in place.
- Clerk — authentication and account management (clerk.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com)
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure (vercel.com)
- Sentry — error monitoring (sentry.io)
- Upstash — rate limiting and caching (upstash.com)
Data retention
Planner accounts: We retain account data for as long as your subscription is active, plus 90 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation. After that, account data is permanently deleted.
Wedding and guest data: Wedding records, household lists, and RSVP responses are retained for 12 months after the wedding date, then permanently deleted. Planners can request earlier deletion at any time.
Payment records: Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by accounting regulations.
Guest data and planner responsibility
Planners upload and manage guest data on behalf of their clients. In GDPR terms, the planner acts as a data controller and Nuptco acts as a data processor. Planners are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and process guest information, and for responding to any guest requests about their data.
If a guest wishes to access, correct, or delete their RSVP data, they should contact the wedding planner directly. We will assist planners in fulfilling such requests.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. RSVP links use signed tokens that expire and cannot be guessed or enumerated. We conduct regular security reviews and apply updates promptly.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens) and security (CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use cookie banners because we don't need your consent for essential cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active planners by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
